Scholarship Information 

Chelsea Renee Daugherty

Chelsea is the 5th recipient chosen for the Buena S. Bond Scholarship. She is a graduate of Butler County High School in Morgantown, KY. Her parents are Patrick & Lee Ann Daugherty. Sh is very active in FFA accumulating many awards, serving in local, state, regional and national offices of FFA Leadership and activities. She also is very dedicated to her church and community giving many hours of volunteer service. Chelsea has been accepted to Murray State University, where she will be majoring in Agriculture Communications with a Minor in Public Relations. Her ultimate career goals would be to work in the agriculture field for a major agricultural company in communications and public relations. She also wants to settle down with a husband and create a family to love and nurture. She has set her aspirations on doing in the next ten years. We wish to encourage Chelsea to achieve her dreams and goals.

2011
Justin Glenn Vaughn

Justin is the 4th recipient chosen for the Buena S. Bond Scholarship. He is a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School in Franklin, KY. His parents are Dennis & Angela Vaughn. Justin along with his family farms over 1200 acres in Auburn, KY. He is very active in FFA winning many awards, serving in various chapter offices of FFA Leadership and activities. He is also committed to his church and  community giving many hours of volunteer service. Justin has been accepted to Western Kentucky University, where he will be majoring in Agriculture-Animal Science. His ultimate career goal would be to continue working in the agriculture field, raising beef cattle and to continue to further his family's farm. We applaud Justin in carrying on the family traditions.

2010
Andrew Scott Wooldrige

Andrew is the 3rd recipient chosen for the Buena S. Bond Scholarship. He is a graduate of Western Hills High School in Frankfort, KY. His parents are Scottie and Kim Wooldridge. Andrew is very involved in 4-H, Future Farmers of America (FFA), and has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He has won and placed in many 4-H competitions in shooting sports and archery. Through the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife, Division of Fisheries, Mollusk Conservation Program, he has been working for them full time the past two summers and also is in a cooperative work study program with the same agencies. Andrew has been accepted to Eastern Kentucky University where he will be majoring in Wildlife Management. His sights are set on being a Conservation/Wildlife Officer. Go for it Andrew, give it your best shot (no pun intended)!

2009
Kendall Renea Corbin

Kendall is our 2nd recipient chosen for the Buena S. Bond Scholarship. She is a graduate of Fleming County High School in Flemingsburg, KY. Her parents are Kent and Barb Corbin. Kendall is active in 4-H, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and the Kentucky Cattleman's Association. She has been chosen for the Governors Scholars Program. She also volunteers for many elderly and children's community activities in her area. Kendall has been accepted to the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture with a major in Agricultural Biotechnology with the future hopes of working in genetic research or medicine. Good luck Kendall, show us what you got!

2008
Sara Rebecca Kuegel

Sarah is our 1st recipient chosen for the Buena S. Bond Scholarship. She is a graduate of Apollo High School in Owensboro, KY. Her parents are Scott and Melinda Kuegel. Sarah is very active in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) on the national, state and local level, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and is involved as a volunteer for many community programs and services. Sara has been accepted to the University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences where she will be majoring in biology with a minor in agricultural biotechnology. She aspires to continue her education with graduate work for a doctorate in genetics or medicine. We wish you all the best, Sarah!
